Ruby Labs is looking for a Head of SEO to own and lead our SEO efforts across the company. You will lead a small team of SEO professionals, set the strategy, and personally drive results that move the needle on organic visibility, brand dominance, and revenue.
This role goes beyond traditional SEO. We expect our Head of SEO to be deeply fluent in AI-driven search, including Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and strategies to ensure our brands are surfaced and recommended by large language models (e.g.GPT, Claude, Gemini…).
The search landscape is evolving fast, and we need someone who is already operating ahead of the curve.
If you have a proven track record of dominating first-page Google results, building powerful backlink profiles, and fully owning the SERPs for the brands you've worked on, and if you can show us the results to prove it, we want to hear from you.
SEO Strategy & Ownership: Define and lead the SEO strategy across all Ruby Labs brands, ensuring a cohesive and prioritised approach to organic growth. Own the full roadmap, from technical SEO and content to link building, and be accountable for performance outcomes.
Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): Develop and execute strategies to ensure Ruby Labs products and brands are cited, recommended, and surfaced in responses generated by large language models including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and more. This includes building topical authority, optimising for structured data, and identifying how AI-powered search differs from traditional SERP strategies.
First-Page Domination: Own the mission to dominate the first page of Google for all priority queries across our brands. Design and execute content strategies that consistently produce articles and pages ranking on the first page of Google.
Link Building at Scale: Build and manage a high-quality, scalable link acquisition programme across all brands.
Reputation Management & Negative Content Suppression: Lead the effort to identify, monitor, and outrank unfavourable search results across all brand SERPs. Develop proactive strategies to occupy the entire first page of Google with controlled, brand-positive content, reducing the visibilit
